A dying tornado like this one is said to be in the “roping out” phase.

Sayaka Ganz - Driven by a combination of my passion for fitting odd shapes together and a sympathy toward discarded objects, I create animals from thrift store plastics.
I am always collecting plastic objects. In my basement I have 30 plastic bins full of color sorted plastic objects, and when I have enough of one color I make a decision for what to make. Right now I am very interested in depicting animals in motion, so I research different gallops, strides, flight and dives of various species and find reference photographs to help me understand the motion as well as the anatomy of the animals.

Handcrafted Typography by Briar Mark
A few months ago you may remember me featuring a hand stitched type piece by Briar Mark. Well these new pieces were created for an upcoming show featuring her work. There’s nothing I love more than handcrafted typography, but the precision and meticulous nature in which these stitched posters were created is fascinating to me. They definitely do require more than a little patience.
